Teacher provides students ear of corn and shucks to be cut out.  Teacher prepares individual kernels to be glued on ear.

Once ear is completed have the student use tally sheet to tally the number of each of the various colors of kernels.  For young children you may want to only have them tally the number or orange, red, and brown kernels.
